As most of us have known, the job scope for floorball committee members include:
1) sending emails to the team every week
2) risk getting shot in the balls by bastards like mr. emo #2 while asking people to keep the balls to play game
3) waste money by sending sms-es to remind people to turn up for matches
4) getting blamed for no floorball trip, no floorball t-shirt, no floorball team
dinner, no subsidies for World University Games etc
5) having to turn up for every training unless you're self-proclaimed captain marvel

... and the list goes on.

In these desperate times, especially with the appointment of captain marvel and manager
sprinter, who seem to have manipulate their superpowers to develope nondescript ways to dodge arrows and bullets shot in their way, one man has stood out and bit the bullet which others have dodged.

He is non other than our v.capt, mr. chui. First to step foot onto the battlegrounds and the last to leave, he is definitely our superman in disguise (and a good guise too.)

Like superman falling for Lois Lane, this superman has fallen deep too. The lucky girl is none other than her slightly superior female counterpart, the wonderwoman.

As many already know, our team is full of emotions and it's good to always be in touch with them. Yongsong Remember To Buy Bread (YSRTBB) has taken the liberty to rank the top 3 emo guys of the team.

Due to sensitivity reasons we have decided to only mention the jersey numbers.

Coming in third, we have our very own NUS No. 8. He may look like Peter Crouch but he sure has a big heart. Initially we only listed 2 nominees for this award but No.8 cried himself into our hearts after the IVP semis... "I wanted to win it for the graduating seniors..." Oh what a love there...

The top two have been nominated but the title is still up for grabs. Let us take a look at our first nominee for the title. Our very own NUS No.15... What have we not said about him... he is the epitome of emotions... We have been victims of his outburts..."FORGET THE FYP!!" incident, the "Touch your heart and ask yourself if you have done your best speech" and the "If you think it is a one person game, then play badminton"... This man can make us believe that we can actually beat Sweden. He is the King.

Feeling his way close behind him, we have NUS No.14...The pretender to the throne... A newcomer to the songs of the heart, this young man displays emotions which could make people like Leonard weep...by the way, Leonard is a MAN cos he took part in biatholon.

Now to decide who will be crowned Mr NUS Emotional, NUS No. 13 co-founder of YSRTBB, also known as Kenny's friend has suggested the ultimate test....make NUS No. 15 and No.14 watch Brokeback Mountain together and the person who cries first, will be hailed as THE KING....

p.s. No. 13 and No.25 have made improvements in their relationship as they have added each other in Friendster and No.13 has even thought of writing a testimonial for No.25....Oh, what a love....

Admist the furore over the dismal showing of the NUS men's floorball team in the recent IVP tournament, a silver lining has emerged. News have emerged of the registration of 5 top floorball players for the academic semester of 2006/2007 !!!

In today's physical game, size and strength is integral if a team is to dominate and NUS have taken a leaf out of eventual IVP champion NYP's book and is looking to build a team towards the future.

Proud of its asian heritage and determined not to go down the well trodden route of importing ang mohs, the NUS scouts have uncovered a mine of talent in the indian state of Bangalore where the 5 new imports hail from. Whether this results in a flurry of indian imports into the Singapore floorball scene remains to be scene.

What is even more significant is due to SRC cutting funds for next years budJet due to this year's showing, the new imports have managed to secure sponsorship for the team from the Cheese Prata shop using erm...... unconventional methods ( see photo of imports just before conevrging on cheese prata shop ). They have also convinced our goggled no:23 captain ABIB that sponsorship from ChongPang and Fongseng is on the way.

Kudos to the new bloods and long live NUS floorball
